We like to showcase the fact that the GB of Great Britain also stands for Great Beer. Our current running total of completely different ales featured at The Whip stands at 4303 and rising.

  • RCH East Street Cream

    RCH East Street Cream

    Style: Premium Bitter/ESB

    Brewer: RCH (Weston-super-Mare, England)

    ABV: 5%

    Also available bottle conditioned. First brewed to celebrate the 500th guest beer at the Dartmouth Inn, Newton Abbot, and was named by a customer in a competition. It went down so well that it has become a regular beer. This enigmatic full bodied beer with malty hoppy fruit bitter with a sweet taste which all vie for dominance in this complex and well crafted premium chestnut coloured ale
  • Vale Black Swan

    Vale Black Swan

    Style: Mild Ale

    Brewer: Vale (Aylesbury, England)

    ABV: 3.9%

    Also available bottle conditioned. Dark smooth rich mild. Dark and smooth with an impressive full roast flavour that belies its strength. Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt, crystal malt, roasted barley. Fuggles and Goldings hops. Now 3.9%, was 3.3%
  • Tring Gunpowder Bell

    Tring Gunpowder Bell

    Style: Specialty Grain

    Brewer: Tring (Tring, England)

    ABV: 4.2%

    The addition of rolled oats to this light copper coloured bitter results in a smooth finish balanced perfectly with a generous serving of Goldings hops for a dominant but pleasant hoppy finish.
  • West Berkshire Tommy Atkins

    West Berkshire Tommy Atkins

    Style: Bitter

    Brewer: West Berkshire (Thatcham, England)

    ABV: 3.9%

    Brewed to mark 100 years since the start of the First World War in memory of those who were lost and in gratitude to those who served. A nut brown ale with plenty of bitterness and gentle malt flavours.
  • Rebellion Roasted Nuts

    Rebellion Roasted Nuts

    Style: Brown Ale

    Brewer: Rebellion (Marlow, England)

    ABV: 4.6%

    Seasonal - November to January. Full flavoured, fruity ale. Crystal & Chocolate malts in the mash produces a rich taste, and a reddish/brown colour, balanced by the addition or aromatic Cascade & Liberty hops.

    ABV: 3.7%

    A copper coloured, easy drinking beer, with considerable depth and complexity. A well balanced malt & fruit flavour continues to a long, refreshing & crisp finish.
